About me

After graduating from UCLA, I began my teaching career in 1993. Schools have certainly changed for the better over the years, and I’ve continued to learn, improve, and grow just like my students. I am excited to begin my 30th year of teaching and my 4th year at Maywood Academy High School. I have taught many grades and subjects over the years, and at many schools such as Roosevelt, Bell, and South Gate. Maywood Academy High School students will develop the critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills necessary to be college and career ready. I am always amazed by our student’s creativity and love for learning. Teaching is my passion, but I also love to travel and be outdoors hiking, kayaking, or bike riding along the beach. I am blessed with a great family, wonderful wife, two sons, and good health.

Sobre Mi

Después de graduarme de UCLA, comencé mi carrera docente en 1993. Sin duda, las escuelas han cambiado para mejor a lo largo de los años, y he seguido aprendiendo, mejorando y creciendo al igual que mis alumnos. Estoy emocionado de comenzar mi 30º año de enseñanza y mi 4º año en Maywood Academy High School. He enseñado muchos grados y materias a lo largo de los años, y en muchas escuelas como Roosevelt, Bell y South Gate. Los estudiantes de Maywood Academy High School desarrollarán el pensamiento crítico y las habilidades creativas de resolución de problemas necesarias para estar listos para la universidad y la carrera. Siempre me sorprende la creatividad y el amor por el aprendizaje de nuestros estudiantes. La enseñanza es mi pasión, pero también me encanta viajar y estar al aire libre haciendo senderismo, kayak o andar en bicicleta por la playa. He sido bendecido con una gran familia, una esposa maravillosa, dos hijos y buena salud.
