About Mr. Santos

Hi! My name is Austin Santos. I currently get the joy of teaching Maywood Academy's Geography and World History courses in the Social Studies department. Watching the growth and development of students throughout my first 2 years at Maywood has been truly rewarding. In both Geography and History, all assignments, grades, and course materials are recorded through our online Schoology classroom.

My educational background includes degrees from community college and state universities. I began my  career after earning an associates degree in History from Long Beach City College. After transferring to UCLA, I received my Bachelor's degree in History and graduated in 2020. More recently, in June 2024, I received my Master's degree in Education, also from UCLA. After receiving my teaching credential and masters, I began teaching here at Maywood Academy. 

¡Hola! Mi nombre es Austin Santos. Actualmente tengo el placer de enseñar los cursos de Geografía e Historia Mundial de Maywood Academy en el departamento de Estudios Sociales. Ver el crecimiento y desarrollo de los estudiantes durante mis primeros dos años en Maywood ha sido verdaderamente gratificante. Tanto en Geografía como en Historia, todas las tareas, calificaciones y materiales del curso se registran a través de nuestro aula de Schoology en línea.

Mi formación académica incluye títulos de colegios comunitarios y universidades estatales. Comencé mi carrera después de obtener un título asociado en Historia de Long Beach City College. Después de transferirme a UCLA, recibí mi licenciatura en Historia y me gradué en 2020. Más recientemente, en junio de 2024, recibí mi maestría en Educación, también de UCLA. Después de recibir mi credencial de enseñanza y mi maestría, comencé a enseñar aquí en Maywood Academy.
